In Group A Brad Gushue and Martin Ferland finished with a 3 - 2 record and have to play a tie breaker to determine who moves on to the quarter - finals. Wayne Middaugh and Randy Ferbey finished atop Group B with a 4 - 1 record and Kerry Burtnyk finished atop Group C with a 5 - 0 record.
