Team Scott would like to announce that the team has made the difficult decision and will not be continuing on with this personnel next season.
Sarah, Sasha, Jeanna and Kelly have dedicated much of their lives to pursuing the sport they love. They are extremely grateful for all the experiences they’ve had; to have experienced the losses together, as well as the great victories has made them friends for life. At this point, all the ladies are assessing where curling fits into their busy lives; complete with careers and young families.
They would like to take this opportunity to thank their sponsors this year – Scotiabank, Nutrilawn, Welco Lumber, Hyundai Kelowna, Asham Curling Supplies, and Goldline Curling Supplies. As well as their sponsors throughout the years. Without their financial support, the team would not have been able to compete at the level they so loved.
They would also like to thank their husbands, children, parents, colleagues and friends – who understood their passion and supported in so many ways. The team was who everyone knew, but their quintessential support team behind the scenes was the real key to their success.
Finally, the ladies would like to say an extra special thank you to their coaches – Gerry Richard, the team’s personal “Sherpa” and leader for all those years, as well as Brent Giles. Their knowledge, endless technical and tactical support, and humor at all the right times, made the team successful and the times memorable.
Thank you to Curl BC, the Canadian Curling Association and the World Curling Tour for supporting our team, and for having such great passion in developing this sport we all love.
