The Final on the Men's side at  2009 Tim Hortons® Roar to the Rings is set.  

Glenn Howard plays Kevin Martin to see who represents Canada at the 2010 Winter Olympic Games.

Glenn Howard defeated Jeff Stoughton 11-6 in the Semi-Final.

Andrea Schöpp of Germany is the Women's champion at the 2009 Le Gruyère European Curling Championships 

She defeated Mirjam Ott of Switzerland 7-5.

2009 Le Gruyère European Curling Championships B side winner - Iveta Stasa-Sarsune



Iveta Stasa-Sarsune of Latvia is the Women's B champion at 2009 Le Gruyère European Curling Championships 

She defeated Shari Leibbrandt-Demmon of he Netherlands 7-6 in an extra end.

The Women's A final at the 2009 Le Gruyère European Curling Championships is set.


Andrea Schopp of Germany defeated Angelina Jensen of Denmark 6-5 in an extra end. She will now face Mirjam Ott of Switzerland.

Mark Neeleman of the Netherlands is the Men's B champion at 2009 Le Gruyère European Curling Championships 

He defeated Andrey Drozdov of Russia 8-4.

In the Semi-Final Ralph Stoeckli of Switzerland defeated Thomas Ulsrud of Norway 8-5 in an extra end. Ralph Stoeckli  will now play  Niklas Edin of Sweden.

The Tie-Breakers on the Women's side at  2009 Tim Hortons® Roar to the Rings are complete.  

In the first tie-breaker Krista McCarville defeated Stefanie Lawton 7-4. In the second tie-breaker Krista McCarville defeated Amber Holland 7-6.  Krista McCarville will now play Shannon Klebrink in the Semi-Final.

The winner of the Semi-Final will play Cheryl Bernard to see who represents Canada at the 2010 Winter Olympic Games.

2009 Tim Hortons® Roar to the Rings - Playoffs are set

The Playoffs on the Men's side at  2009 Tim Hortons® Roar to the Rings are set.  

Kevin Martin defeated Glenn Howard 8-6. He advanced to the final. Martin will play the winner of the Glenn Howard/Jeff Stoughton Semi-Final to see who represents Canada at the 2010 Winter Olympic Games.

The Tie-Breakers on the Women's side at  2009 Tim Hortons® Roar to the Rings are set.  

In the first tie-breaker Krista McCarville plays Stefanie Lawton. The winner will then face Amber Holland in the second tie-breaker. The winner of the second tie-breaker will play Shannon Klebrink in the Semi-Final.

A side
Niklas Edin of Sweden defeated Thomas Ulsrud of Norway 7-3 and moved to the Finals. Ralph Stoeckli of Switzerland defeated David Murdoch of Scotland 7-3. Norway will play Switzerland with the winner advancing to the Finals against Sweden.

The Women's playoffs at the 2009 Le Gruyère European Curling Championships are underway.

A side
Mirjam Ott of Switzerland defeated Angelina Jensen of Denmark 8-5 and moved to the Finals. Andrea Schopp of Germany defeated Liudmilla Privivkova of Russia 10-4. Germany will play Denmark with the winner advancing to the Finals against Switzerland .

David Hamblin won the Dauphin Clinic Pharmacy Classic. He defeated Travis Graham 6-5 in an extra end.

Pat Kuspira won the Cornerstone Credit Union Ladies Cash. She defeated Stephanie McVicar 5-3.

After Draw 2 Liudmilla Privivkova of Russsia and Mirjam Ott of Switzerland lead the Women with a record of 2-0.

After Draw 2 Erkki Lill of Estonia, Mark Neeleman of the Netherlands and Andrey Drozdov of Russia lead the Men with a record of 2-0.

Turkey Night is December 9th. It will be a fun filled evening. When you arrive you will be placed on a team.  You must be present to get a turkey. After curling we will meet at The Fox and Fiddle at the North West Corner of Laird and McRae.

The 2009 Dominion Curling Club Championship



Ontario won both Men & Women Club Championships at the St. George's Country Club. Finals were on Sunday.

The Men's team was skipped by Robert Stafford  from the Chatham Granite club.

The Women's team was skipped by Kelly Cochrane from the High Park Curling Club in Toronto. Kelly is a Grade 3 teacher.

Nova Scotia (Dacey) will play Ontario (Bice). In the Semi-Final Ontario defeated B.C. (Montgomery) 12-3.
